Among the 11 State universities in Odisha, Berhampur University became the first university to get ‘A’ grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
It may be noted that till now only one private university in Odisha had received ‘A’ grade from NAAC and no State university had achieved this grade.
Berhampur University Vice-Chancellor Depak Kumar Behera termed this a great achievement as no other State university in Odisha has been able to get this coveted grade......................................................................
